The Product That Started It All

Rosemary & Cedar Botanicals didn't begin as a business.

It began as a personal wellness journey.

Like many people, I spent years searching for solutions to persistent dry, irritated areas of skin. Along the way, I tried countless products, including prescription treatments that often came with side effects I wasn't comfortable using long-term.

Eventually, I found myself asking a different question:

What if I focused on nourishing my skin instead of fighting it?

That question led me down a path of learning about herbs, botanical oils, and traditional wellness practices. It also became part of a larger journey as I looked for ways to support both my own well-being and my mother's using more natural ingredients and intentional self-care rituals.

It Started with a Salve

One of the very first products I created was a calendula-based salve.

And honestly, it worked.

The salve helped soothe and soften areas of dry skin that had frustrated me for years. It became a staple in my daily routine and gave me confidence that I was heading in the right direction.

But as I continued experimenting, I wondered if there was another way.

What if I removed the beeswax and butters and allowed the skin to receive even more of the calendula-infused oil itself?

So I created a simple body oil.

And that's when everything changed.

Discovering the Power of Calendula Oil

The body oil felt different from the very first use.

It absorbed beautifully, covered larger areas more easily, and delivered concentrated nourishment directly to my skin.

Over time, I noticed that the dry patches I'd struggled with for years continued to improve. My skin felt softer, looked healthier, and developed a natural glow that I hadn't seen in a long time.

The salve had opened the door.

The body oil took it a step further.

That's when I knew this needed to become part of the Rosemary & Cedar Botanicals collection.

Introducing San Antonio Sunshine Body Oil

At the heart of this formula is calendula-infused oil, paired with rosehip seed oil and vitamin E to create a lightweight body oil designed to nourish and replenish the skin.

Unlike many heavy body products, it absorbs beautifully and leaves skin feeling soft, hydrated, and comfortable rather than greasy.

For me, it has become more than a moisturizer.

It's a daily ritual.

A reminder that sometimes the simplest ingredients can have the biggest impact.

Why I'm So Excited About This One

Every product in our collection has a story.

This one tells the story of experimentation, persistence, and discovering that nature often works with us rather than against us.

Before it became a product, it was something I made for myself.

And before I ever dreamed of launching Rosemary & Cedar Botanicals, it was part of my own journey toward healthier skin and a more intentional approach to wellness.
